Study visit of waste collection and treatment facilities on island Krk (HR)

Study visit was attended by nine representatives of Croatian project partners, associations, media and Slovenian project partners.

The participants of the study visit were welcomed by the director Mr. Frane Mrakovčić. Presentation of waste management on the island was held by assistant director Mr. Ivan Jurešić. Mr. Jurešić also took the participants on a tour of the recycling yard in the city of Krk and municipal waste landfill Treskavac, where they have facilities for sorting collected packaging waste and composting of organic waste, while the remaining waste is disposed on a landfill.
