First communication strategy workshop in Velenje

The first part of the workshop was an organized tour of Eco kindergarten "Tinkara" which has been successfully implementing programs in educating children about proper waste management, recycling and reuse, and general environmental protection. After that, the participants visited the inter-municipal association alliance of friends of young Velenje (MZPM), which in cooperation with the Institute for Ecological Research Erico from Velenje organized education of citizens about the environmental protection and waste management.

After the workshop the fourth partnership meeting was held to discuss the details related to the implementation of other workshops within the project. Partners also agreed that VG Čistoća will conduct a survey among its customers, which will be the basis for the development of education and communication strategies. SWOT analysis will be carried out of the situation in the City of Velika Gorica and the target groups of participants. Analysis of their views on the current situation and future plans to communicate with the public on waste management issues will be made.
